Sono’s Alan Williams and D.J. Burns had strong performances.
The Goyang Sono Skygunners defeated the Anyang Jungkwanjang Red Boosters 83-77 in the second game of Group C of the 2024 KBL Cup on Sunday at Jecheon Gymnasium. Goyang won the game and improved to 1-1. Jeonggwanjang lost one. SONO was led by new foreign player Alan Williams with 23 points and 10 rebounds, while D.J. Burns added 14 points and 파워볼게임 Lee Jung-hyun chipped in 13 points.
Williams had a good production, scoring 23 points in 23 minutes and 22 seconds. Burns was also decent with 14 points, five rebounds, and five assists in 16:38. Transfer Lee Jae-do played full time and scored just eight points, but his nine rebounds and six assists weren’t bad. Jung Kwan-jang led Bae Byeong-joon with 18 points, including four three-pointers. KBL returnee Caddy Laren was held to eight points.
In the next Group A game, the Daegu KOGAS Pegasus defeated Sangmu 76-64. The returning Andrew Nicholson led the way with 26 points and 10 rebounds in 19 minutes and 56 seconds. Kim Nak-hyun added 17 points and eight rebounds, including three 3-pointers. Yang Hong-seok had 18 points and Han Seung-hee had 15 points and 11 rebounds for the Sangsang.
