The Australia-New Zealand Women’s Soccer World Cup kicks off today (Tuesday) for a month-long journey.

The United States and the Netherlands, two of the world’s strongest teams going for a third straight World Cup, will meet in Group E in a rematch of the 2019 final in France. The United States defeated the Netherlands 2-0 in the last edition of the tournament. Traditional powerhouses France and Brazil will face off in Pool F. This is also a return match from four years ago, when France defeated Brazil 2-1 to reach the quarterfinals. There will also be a battle of pride between the powerhouses of the Asian and European continents. Japan, winners of the 2011 tournament in Germany, face Spain in Group C, while China, runners-up in the 1999 tournament in the United States, face England in Group D. The team that will be crowned this year’s World Cup king will be determined in the final match on March 20 in Sydney.
