National soccer team to play Wales on Aug. 8

The South Korean national soccer team is looking for its first win under Jürgen Klinsmann.

The national soccer team will face Wales at 3:45 a.m. KST on Aug. 8 at Cardiff City Stadium in Cardiff, Wales, United Kingdom. It will be the first time in five years and six months that the national team has played an A match in Europe since March 2018 under Shin Tae-yong. It’s a must-win game for Klinsmann. Klinsmann is the only foreign coach in South Korea’s history to have never won more than four games in charge of the national team. In June, they lost 0-1 to Peru before drawing 1-1 with El Salvador.
