South Korea picked up two gold medals at the Paris Olympics on Saturday, raising its total to nine as archer Lim Si-hyeon completed her hat trick of gold medals.

Lim defeated teammate Nam Su-hyeon 7-3 in the first all-South Korean final in the women’s archery individual event in 20 years. A third South Korean archer, Jeon Hun-young, finished in fourth place, narrowly missing out on a third South Korean podium sweep in women’s archery, after 1988 and 2000.

Lim, who had earlier won gold medals in the women’s team and the mixed team events, became the first triple gold medalist for South Korea in Paris.

Earlier Saturday, Yang Ji-in was on target for the gold medal in the women’s 25-meter pistol event for South Korea’s third shooting title of this 추천 Olympics.

Yang defeated Camille Jedrzejewski of France 4-1 in a shoot-off, after the two finished their 10 series of shots tied at 37-37.

South Korea managed just one medal, a silver, in shooting at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, but has claimed three gold and two silver medals in France so far.

All nine South Korean gold medals have come from archery, shooting and fencing.
