SSG won the 14th game of the 2023 Shinhan Bank SOL KBO League against the Samsung Lions at SSG Landers Field in Incheon on Wednesday, 3-2 after 10 extra innings. They avenged a 4-5 loss the previous day (Nov. 11).
After the game, head coach Kim Won-hyung praised McCarty’s performance as the team’s ace starting pitcher, saying, “We were able to get the win today, and the bullpen pitchers who followed pitched scoreless innings to set the stage for us to finish the game in extra innings.”
