Belgian professional soccer player Hong Hyun-seok scored an assist to help his team win the opening game of the 2023-2024 season.
Hong Hyun-seok’s club Gent won 3-2 at home against KV Kortrijk in the first round of the 2023-2024 Belgian professional soccer state championship at the Gelamco Arena in Gent, Belgium, on Monday (Aug. 31).
Hong Hyun-seok, who started the match and was substituted in the 31st minute, assisted Hugo Kuipers’ goal in the 30th minute.
With the score tied at 1-1, Hong Hyun-seok took a corner kick and Kuyper’s header made it 2-1.
After finishing last season with nine goals and nine assists in all competitions, including six goals and six assists in league play, Hong Hyun-seok got his 2023-2024 season off to a good start with an offensive point in the first game of the season.
