South Korea national soccer team forward Son Heung-min of Tottenham Hotspur has been named the
English Professional Soccer Premier League (EPL) Player of the Month for September.
The EPL.Secretariat announced the news of Son’s EPL Player of the Month award for September via its
official channels on Wednesday afternoon (ET). This is the fourth award of his career.
Son played in four games in September, winning three and drawing one, scoring six goals in the process.
He is currently second in the EPL in goals scored, just behind Elling Holland (Manchester City – 8).
Tottenham are also currently in contention for the top spot.
At the time of the nomination announcement, the secretariat praised Son’s performance, saying, “The

Son’s competition is fellow Man City striker Julian Alvarez, who has two goals and two assists in four
