‘Women’s basketball legend’ Park Shin-ja to attend Park Shinja Cup for first time in eight years

Visit the opening game on the 26th and the finals on the 3rd of next month

Korean women’s basketball living legend Park Shin-ja will attend her namesake tournament

for the first time in eight years.

The Korea Women’s Basketball League (WKBL) announced today that its namesake, 성인웹툰

Park Shin-ja, will visit the 2023 Woori Bank Park Shin-ja Cup, which will be held at Cheongju

Gymnasium in Chungcheongbuk-do, South Korea, from March 26 to March 3.

It will be the first time in eight years that Mrs. Park has visited the tournament since the

inaugural Park Shin-ja Cup Summer League in 2015.

Park, who lives in the United States, 일본야동 will visit the stadium on Aug. 26 for the

opening game and Sept. 3 for the final.

She will also present an award at the post-final ceremony.

Park played for the Commercial Bank of Korea (now Woori Bank) and was named the

Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the 1967 World Championship with the runners-up.

In 2015, she was inducted into the Korean Sports Hero Hall of Fame by the Korea Sports Council,

and in 2021, she was selected as a candidate for induction into the 2020 FIBA Hall of

Fame in the player category.

Tickets for the Park Shinjah Cup, which will feature 10 teams from four countries, the largest ever,
