Randle talks about his expectations for next season.
The Knicks have had a successful season this year. Last season’s acquisition, Jaylen Brunson (185 cm, G), has developed into an undisputed ace. He averaged 28.7 points and 6.7 assists per game last season and was named to the All-NBA Second Team. Add to that a midseason trade, and New York finished the regular season in second place in the East.
Their playoff run continued. They met the Philadelphia 76ers in the first round and won. In the second round, they faced the Indiana Pacers and started the series 2-0. The problem was injuries. As time went on, the injuries piled up, 텍사스홀덤사이트 and New York ended the season with two straight losses in a 3-2 situation.
The loss of Julius Randle (203 cm, F) was particularly devastating. Randle, who averaged 24 points, 9.2 rebounds, and 5 assists per game this season, only played in 46 games this season. He didn’t play a single game from midseason through the playoffs. This is the fewest games Randle has played since his rookie season.
During the off-season, Randle recently appeared on “7PM in Brooklyn with Carmelo Anthony & Kid Mero” to give an update. When asked how he was feeling, he said, “I’m healthy. It’s a process of getting better. It’s going to take a long time. But I’ll be ready before the season starts,” he said.
“When I first got injured, it was really hard, I’ve never had a shoulder that hurt like this before. I couldn’t shoot, I couldn’t dribble, so in the end I decided to have surgery. I’m looking forward to getting better,” he said of his injury.
New York advanced to the second round last season with Brunson leading the way despite injuries to key players. Without the injuries, the outcome could have been different. “Last season was amazing,” Randle said. You could feel the fight. It’s my teammates, but it was awesome,” he said. “We have to get ready for next season. We’ll be back healthy. With my teammates, we can do great things. I’m looking forward to it.”
“I’m proud of my teammates. They will give me strength and motivation when I return to the team. I will do my best with them,” he added.
